We live in a city of wood porches and decks, and we’ve seen the terrible things that can happen when poor construction goes unchecked. Last month, while shooting a video series on home inspections, Tom Corbett took me out to see some examples of improperly built porches. Here he shows me some glaring deficiencies that are easy to see from street level, then takes me across the street to a new porch that appears to meet the city’s building codes.
