JDL adds more apartments to Old Town development surge

After years of inactivity the southern part of Old Town has become a hotbed of new construction.

JDL Development and Harlem Irving Cos are proposing a 5-story building with 71 apartments and ground-floor retail on a site directly across the street from the recently opened, rapidly renting 250-unit 1225 Old Town apartments.

Construction recently began on a new Target a few blocks to the west on Division St.

Fifield Companies is planning a new apartment tower and retail on the site of the existing Jewel at Clark and Division. The proposed redevelopment of Atrium Village site at Wells and Division contemplates as many as 1,500 apartments.
