Krueck + Sexton architects talk about glass

by Joe Zekas on 3/5/13

Curbed Chicago picked up on a post at the SkyscraperPage forum that surfaced a new rendering for a proposed 1.2M square foot 48-story office tower at 130 N Franklin in the Loop.

We don’t normally devote much attention to office developments, but we do spend a lot of time contemplating the glass facades of new residential high-rises. In the above video Krueck + Sexton architects – the designers of the new Franklin tower – outline how they think about glass and its uses in architecture. The video is from the Spirit of Space channel at Vimeo.

We visit the SkyscraperPage forum on a regular basis. If you have an interest in Chicago’s new construction scene, you ought to stop in at the forum periodically. You’ll find a wealth of fresh photos of new projects, insider tips about what’s in the pipeline, and the occasional lively debate about architecture, individual building plans and planning topics.
