The Lexington Park Condominiums sales staff has a layover between the closure of its old Indiana Avenue sales center and the opening of the development’s 35-story tower, so it’s spending the next month inside the completed and partially occupied soft lofts at 2135 S Michigan Ave (above), says sales manager Britta Rivera.
Erik and I spent the afternoon in the South Loop and caught Britta as she was packing up the old Lexington Park sales center. Lexington Park is still waiting on its first certificate of occupancy, without which buyers are unable to close and move into their homes, but Rivera hopes things will start moving by the beginning of October.
Although we weren’t able to get inside and look around, Rivera was nice enough to send over some sneak peeks of Lexington Park’s lobby and terrace, both of which are nearing completion. The pics aren’t flashy, but they represent our very first look inside the tower.

I had heard that an Asian investor had snapped up much of the property about two years back? Had you heard as much if this was true?
Have not heard about the Asian investor, but that
would be good news. Also, just to note that people have started to move into the LOFT Section (facing Michigan Ave). Looks like the folks living in the condo section are still waiting to move in.
