The old Florsheim shoe factory is getting all gussied up for its new life as Shoemaker Lofts, a 175-unit adaptive reuse project in Avondale (be sure to chime at the Avondale forum, where a question was recently raised about the impact Shoemaker Lofts will have on the neighborhood). The building, located at 3927 W Belmont Ave, will have one- and two-bedroom lofts (some with dens), door staff, a fitness center, a business center, a community room and a rooftop deck with gas grilles. Prices range from the $250s to the $400s.
