Look closely: Chicago's gigapan gallery

The first experience a lot of people had with gigapan technology came last month, when photographer David Bergman posted a 1,474 megapixel stitched photo of President Obama’s inaugural address.

Thanks to Coldwell Banker agent Jennifer Ames and her blog, Live and Play in Chicago, we now know that the city of Chicago has posted 26 gigapan images of parks, street-scapes, and landmarks on its new Explore Chicago tourism page.
