Apropos of nothing, here’s some fresh Chicago sales info courtesy of Midwest Real Estate Data and the Chicago Association of Realtors.

Units sold, April 4 – 10:

  • Attached units: 115 (98 traditional sales, 17 short sales and foreclosures)
  • Detached units: 86 (41 traditional sales, 45 short sales and foreclosures)

Median sale price, April 4 – 10:

  • Attached units: $330,250 ($368,000 for traditional sales, $120,000 for short sales and foreclosures)
  • Detached units: $154,900 ($211,500 for traditional sales, $75,000 for short sales and foreclosures)

Average sale price, April 4 – 10:

  • Attached units: $375,793 ($413,811 for traditional sales, $156,629 for short sales and foreclosures)
  • Detached units: $228,326 ($339,452 for traditional sales, $127,077 for short sales and foreclosures)

Attached units – condos, townhomes
Detached units = single family homes
