Marlowe, 169 W Huron St in River North, is a 15-story, 176-unit apartment tower with ground-level retail space. A building permit for the foundation was issued in mid-April, 2017, and pre-leasing is expected to begin early in 2018.
Marlowe will have a mix of studio, convertible, 1- and 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartments.
Expect the units to have a high level of finishes to be competitive in the market.
Marlowe’s view corridors will be constrained by surrounding high-rise buildings, but higher floors should have great skyline views to the east.

Marlowe will be a full-amenity building.
Plans show a rooftop pool and sundeck with grilling stations, a rooftop fitness room with an adjacent yoga studio, and a rooftop resident lounge.
Preliminary plans show on-site management and leasing offices, and door staff in the lobby.
Marlowe has a strong River North location close to public transit and daily conveniences.
Marlowe is a few blocks south of the Gold Coast and west of the Mag Mile and Streeterville.
Loyola University’s Quinlan School of Business is three blocks east of Marlowe. The former Montgomery Ward catalog warehouse, now home to the corporate headquarters of Groupon and Dyson, is a half mile west of the building.
Shopping. Marlowe residents will have convenient access to grocery shopping.
Marlowe is in the River North Gallery District, which has been shrunken by the economy in recent years, but remains a scene worth visiting.
Dining, nightlife. Marlowe residents will be a few minutes’ walk from scores of popular dining and nightlife options in River North and the Gold Coast. They can avoid the crowds and explore the more relaxed scene closer to home in the 700 blocks of Clark, LaSalle and Wells, steps from the building.
Café Iberico on LaSalle is known for its tapas, and for an outstanding selection of affordable wines.
Parks, recreation. Residents at Marlowe will have limited access to parks and recreational opportunities.
Washington Square Park, a tranquil oasis a few blocks northeast of Marlowe, is the only public park within a 10-minute walk of the building.
Chicago’s Riverwalk is a few blocks south of the building.
Transportation. Public transportation from the location is excellent.
A variety of CTA bus routes run on LaSalle St and along Chicago Ave, Clark St and State St near the property.
The location has fairly quick access to I-90/94 and the city’s expressway grid via the Ontario St / Ohio St on / off ramps.
