Rebuilding Together is a national effort that is ” dedicated to improving the homes and communities of elderly, disabled and low-income residents so that they may continue to live in warmth, safety and independence.”
National Rebuilding day takes place on the last Saturday in April each year and viewed by the people it benefits as “Christmas in April.”
Tens of thousands of volunteers have assisted Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago in repairing over 1,600 homes and 250 community facilities.
