Michigan Avenue’s Richelieu Flats under new ownership

by Joe Zekas on 4/12/13

Crain’s recently reported the bulk sale, for $4.5 million, of the 5-unit Richelieu Flats, 318 S Michigan Ave. The units had been offered for sale individually at an aggregate price of over $8 million.

Baird & Warner’s Millie Rosenbloom still has the units, two of which are under contract, listed for sale. You can tour one of those units in the sponsored video, above, shot last August. The unit was listed at the time for $1,365,000. It was subsequently reduced to $1.265M and then raised to $1.365M.

Toward the end of the video you’ll get a look at the 4,300 square foot duplex penthouse, which has a 1,000 square foot terrace with sweeping views of Grant Park, Millennium Park and the lake.

Does the listing actually say parking outside of each backdoor? Is there a car elevator?

There is parking outside each back door. I’ve seen it, but don’t recall whether it was ramp or elevator accessible.

Do you know if we have anything along the lines of carloft (I think it’s like which has a private garage outside of each unit with a door directly into the unit with car elevators?
