The number of homes and condos listed for rent in six north lakefront ZIP Codes ticked up ever so slightly in the past two weeks, from 703 to 707.
How does that square with our headline? The short answer is that the aggregate number masks a drop in available units in 60614, 60657 and 60613 and an increase in 60640, 60660 and 60626.
The Lincoln Park and Lake View / Uptown ZIPs saw listed units decrease 5.7%, from 454 to 428, while the Uptown, Edgewater and Rogers Park ZIPs saw inventory bloat from 249 to 279, a 12% increase.
