More controversy for South Loop's Burnham Pointe?

Burnham Pointe

We thought The Residences at Burnham Pointe, planned for 701 S Clark St in the South Loop, was stirring up some more controversy when we saw the entrance to the sales center draped in yellow “caution” tape. Some neighborhood residents (Sloopers, anyone?) and developer Terrapin Properties have had a tough time seeing eye-to-eye on the project, and we thought maybe protests had escalated. A sales agent for the 28-story high-rise, which will have 298 condos and 16,000 square feet of retail space, alerted us to the fact that there simply weren’t any handrails on the staircase yet, and they didn’t want anyone to trip.
