Morgan Row – next best thing to a West Loop townhouse?

Morgan Row

They kinda sorta look like townhouses, don’t they?

Well, they aren’t, but like C/A 23, Morgan Row is catering to West Loop condo buyers who crave space. The neighborhood has seen only a smattering of townhouse projects over the years (lofts and new-construction condos dominate), but homes in this four-story development offer some of the same perks as townhomes – more privacy and space than typical condo buildings.

The project, under construction at 27 – 41 N Morgan St, will include 21 condos with three bedrooms and two or three baths, according to Laurie Christofano, an assistant to Koenig & Strey GMAC’s Renata Williamson, who is marketing the project. There are both single-level condos and duplexes, which include family rooms.

About half of the units have sold, and prices range from the $460s to the $670s, Christofano says. All of the condos have two terraces, and deeded parking (garage or outdoor spots, depending on the unit) is included in the price.

Construction is scheduled to wrap up in October, and seven commercial storefronts will be located on the ground floor, Christofano says.

Features include crown moldings, Brazilian cherry floors, granite countertops and GE stainless steel appliances.

Equinox Development Corporation is the developer.
