This one contains a huge hint for those who know their crosses.
Second hint: two gunshots rang out toward the end of my day in this neighborhood.
Be the first to tell us where an eye on the sky spies this scene and we’ll send you a glow-in-the-dark YoChicago yo-yo.
Third hint added below – another cross from the same neighborhood. The arms were vandalized on this one.

Is it Hyde Park?
Stokes,
Nope.
Just a reminder to all. This isn’t supposed to be a guessing game in which the answer emerges through a process of serial speculation.
Is it Roseland?
Chuckle. You have 18 questions left.
While I admire your fortitude, I’d rather not read about your obituary in the act of doing some of these quiz tours.
Dmac,
Thanks for your concern.
I spend a lot of time on the streets of Chicago, in every part of the city, which means that I see and hear things I’d prefer I didn’t and talk to people that others might avoid. I firmly believe that “discretion is the better part of valor” and don’t take what I consider stupid risks. There’s many a situation that I’ve shied away from, either by staying in the car or walking away from a confrontation.
I also find that a lot of people shy away from me – some by making a run for it – when they see my camera. I’ve emptied crowded streets in some places just by being there!
In this instance, I was in a part of the neighborhood where gunfire was totally unexpected and the sound was coming from about a block away. I got in my car and left.
Rogers Park. The crucifix on the bottom picture is near Madonna Della Strata Chapel. I guess there are no other Loyola Alumni that read Yo Chicago
garrett has it correct. E-mail yoval at yochicago dot com with delivery instructions.
The one at the top is St George Cathedral, 7201 N Ashland. There’s another version of the cross at ground level.
