James Place alters plans for second-home buyers

James Place, the proposed 16-story boutique building at 100 W Huron St, is now slated to have 34 condos, down from the 42 originally planned by Affinity Development.

Sales Manager Michelle Bank told us that plans have changed to combine some units to create larger spaces. The newly configured condos range from 1,200 to 3,030 square feet, she says.

“Some of the first purchasers that we had coming through were looking for larger second homes. . . so we certainly had been putting more of a focus on creating a larger space for that type of clientele,” she says.

Prices range from the $530s to $2.4 million, and parking costs $37,500 to $70,000, according to Bank.
