The developers of Cityscape Condominiums, a row of condo buildings that will front Western Avenue in Saint Ben’s, will hold an opening reception tonight from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the sales center, 3918 N Western Ave.

If you cruise real estate sections of newspapers the way we do, you may have seen ads some months ago for Cityscape. An earlier version of the project, which called for 86 units designed by architect Chris Manfre of Proteus Group, was scrapped, says Rob Keleghan, of Century 21 Sussex & Reilly, which is marketing the project.

The new version has 42 units in six four-story buildings, at 3905 – 3935 S Western Ave. The design, by Laszlo Simovic Architects, LLC, appears to retain some features of the original, such a clock tower on the southernmost building.

The condos will have two or three bedrooms and two or three baths, and range from 1,200 to 1,860 square feet. Features include private elevator access to the units, terraces and private rooftop decks. Prices range from the $370s to the $640s, according to Keleghan.

Westward Development Co. and I&M Construction, the developers, have secured building permits and plan to break ground within a week, Keleghan says.
