Yesterday’s new listings alert included a 3-bedroom, 3 ½ bath home, one of several new homes on a bleak stretch of 32nd St in McKinley Park.
The home was listed for sale at $439,000 and listed as under contract within a day.
I don’t have any specific information about this property, but I have seen quite a few new homes in the area resell at prices far below their original purchase price in recent years. I’ve seen other deals in the area where the buyers were of the straw variety.
There’s been some buzz about McKinley Park and Brighton Park on some of the local websites recently. I’d suggest extreme caution before paying $400K or more for a home in these neighborhoods.
