This nine-condo development at 1919 W Crystal St in Wicker Park has managed to keep a fairly low profile this is year, but construction seems to be moving along pretty steadily. In fact, both 1919 West Crystal and its fraternal twin, 155 North Aberdeen in the West Loop, seem to be moving toward the fall completion dates that Elizabeth August from @properties forecast a couple months ago.
It’s too early to tell what the final product will look like and how it will stack up to the rendering below, but the building is beginning to take shape, and you can have a look at the dark “midnight slate” masonry (below, at left).
According to my most recent sales update, about half of the two- and three-bedroom duplexes in 1919 West Crystal are still available, and they’re priced from the $650s to the $790s.
