New South Loop condos draw a crowd

by Joe Zekas on 10/25/13

Real estate brokers flocked to the South Loop yesterday evening for a sneak peek at the first major condo development in downtown Chicago in half a dozen years.

CMK Realty hosted a packed event at Square One, just around the corner from the site of a 15-story, 144-unit tower slated for development at 1345 S Wabash Ave. Brininstool + Lynch are the architects for the project, continuing CMK Development’s practice of investing in strikingly modern architecture.

Brokers in attendance were enthusiastic about the new development, citing the architecture, the near-in location, the positive experiences they’ve had working with CMK on past projects, and 1345 Wabash’s prices, which begin in the low $200s.
