New to the market: River North residence back in action for $4.19 million

461 W Superior St, ChicagoFew listings cross the $4 million threshold in River North. Until yesterday, only four homes in River North were priced above that mark: a 38th-floor condo at the unfinished Ritz-Carlton Residences, a couple units at The Pinnacle, and a single-family home under construction at 445 W Superior St.

Joining the club is the 11,000 square-foot single-family home at 461 W Superior St, listed on Monday at $4.19 million. Like the aforementioned 445 West Superior, it’s a part of the Kingsbury Estates community, a pocket of multi-million-dollar homes on Superior and Huron streets, between Kingsbury Street and Hudson Avenue. This one in particular has been on the market for as much as $4.35 million in years past, but last sold for $3.55 million.

Sudler Sotheby’s agent Timothy Salm describes the home as an “elegantly appointed living space” with “dramatic rooms, spectacular ceiling heights, and abundant outdoor space throughout.” It has three fireplaces, a “grand” staircase, a de Giulio custom kitchen, an elevator, a three-car attached garage, and a 1,700 square-foot rooftop.
