North River Court tries to depart the deadpool as Riverview Terrace

It’s been more than eight years since we first noted the development at 2609 W Belmont Ave in Avondale. At the time it was called North River Court and offered for sale as condominiums.

The building sat vacant and in a state of disarray for years as it wended its way through the foreclosure process, and has taken nearly two years to complete since emerging from foreclosure. It’s now being marketed as Riverview Terrace “on the North Branch of the Chicago River between Avondale and Roscoe Village.” It’s near, but not on the river, and it’s solidly in Avondale, remote from the attractive parts of Roscoe Village.

Quoted rents, aggressive for the location, range from $2,000 to $4,500 for 2-bedroom, 2-baths and $3,850 to $4,000 for 3-bedroom, 2 baths.

NOTE: If you’re wondering about the absence of a link to the project’s website, it’s YoChicago’s standard practice not to link to sites that we don’t consider credible.
