Obama’s neighbor on Harold Washington

Harold Washington, Chicago’s first African-American mayor, launched his mayoral campaign in Bill and Jacky Grimshaw’s dining room. The Grimshaws’ political connections ratcheted up sharply when Barack Obama moved in next door.

The couple made waves recently by putting their home on the market. Joe visited the Grimshaws’ house this week and listened to Bill speak about his friend Harold Washington.
