I dropped by the southwest corner of Scott and Wells yesterday for an updated look at the progress of the 71-unit apartment building that’s under construction at the site.
Caisson drilling was underway at the time of my last visit early last month. That work is complete and it appears that concrete pours for the perimeter foundations are nearly complete. I’ve updated the project’s status on our at-a-glance list of new downtown apartment projects to reflect occupancy in 2014.
The project’s developers are JDL and Harlem Irving Cos. The latter’s website has a rendering I hadn’t seen before, and a description of the building’s height as 6-stories. That doesn’t match the rendering or previous descriptions of the building, which will include 10,000 square feet of ground-level retail space and 72 parking spots. The unit mix ranges from studios to 3-bedrooms.
The project’s name and address: Scott Flats, 221 W Scott St.
