Old Town, River North, Streeterville and Gold Coast apartment deals and finds, 6/11/15

McClurg Court is offering the first month’s rent free when you take occupancy in select corner one-bedrooms on or before July 1. Window walls expand the space in these unusually large apartments, which rent from $1,832 a month.

Floor plans and near real-time rent and availability info for McClurg Court’s studio to 2-bedroom apartments can be accessed online.

New City, the new luxury tower at 1457 N Halsted St, recently opened an on-site leasing trailer and is signing leases for mid-July and later occupancy. New City currently has a pre-opening offer of a $1,500 rent credit.

New City is a full-amenity, full-service, pet-friendly community with 199 studio, convertible, 1- and 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartments. Floor plans are available online.

Planned Property owns and manages six apartment towers in prime River North and Gold Coast locations: 750 North Rush, 55 West Chestnut, 1111 North Dearborn, 1133 North Dearborn, 1120 North LaSalle and 1000 North LaSalle.

Apply for an apartment at any of these properties within 24 hours of your first visit and the move-in fees will be waived.

Book an appointment online for any of Planned Property’s dozens of River North, Gold Coast, Lincoln Park or Lakeview buildings and receive a credit toward your first month’s rent: $100 for a studio, $200 for a 1-bedroom and $300 for a 2- or 3-bedroom. If you’re a 2015 college grad you also qualify for a $300 credit toward your first month’s rent.

Hubbard Place, a newer River North high-rise with fabulous amenities, is offering a “spot special” of a $500 credit toward the first month’s rent on a rarely available high-floor studio with lake and city views. Near real-time rent and availability info is online.

Hubbard Place is 99% leased and has a waiting list for three of its floor plans. You can sign up for availability alerts at the building’s website to get early notice of upcoming vacancies.

west77, a full-amenity boutique apartment tower at 77 W Huron in River North, has only a single apartment available for immediate occupancy.

Unit 403 is a one-bedroom with a balcony renting for $2,110 a month. Free parking is included for 3 months.

Additional one-bedrooms are available for early- and late-July occupancy, renting from $2,015.

Kingsbury Plaza in River North has several studios available for occupancy late in June and mid-July. Rents range from $1,875 to $1,948 for 12-month leases.

Chestnut Place, 850 N State, has “E” plan corner 1-bedrooms with two angled bays in the living / dining area available for mid-July occupancy. One of the units is on the top floor of the building. Rents range from $1,750 to $1,845 a month.


Chestnut Tower is offering a $2,000 bonus on all June move-ins and $1,500 for July move-ins for 2-bedroom apartments.

Available two-bedrooms have two full baths, abundant storage space, and a “great living and dining area with picture-perfect sunsets and city views.” The fully-renovated homes have chocolate wood flooring, updated baths and new kitchens with quartz countertops and stainless appliances. All apartments have an in-unit washer / dryer.

Atwater, a newer Streeterville building has corner 1-bedrooms with northwest views, balconies, walk-in closets and a nook that makes for a great home office. The apartments span more than 1,000 square feet and rent for $2,450 to $2,988 for occupancy now and into August.

The leasing center for State & Chestnut is now open on-site and first occupancies are imminent. Early birds can still lock up some of the building’s best and best-priced apartments.

The $450 admin fee will be waived on select floor plans if you’re a Reside Living resident, a Northwestern or Loyola faculty member or student, or one of a few additional preferred groups. Be sure to ask when you visit the leasing center.

The model apartments and on-site leasing office are open daily at North Water, the newest of the new apartment towers in Streeterville. North Water is a full-amenity view building with sweeping vistas in every direction.

Studios and convertibles have rented quickly at many of the new downtown apartment buildings. North Water has a good selection available, with studios renting from $1,899 and convertibles from $2,069. The new Lofts at River East, Streeterville’s only rental loft building, has been leasing up at a sizzling pace. All of the 3-bedrooms, 2-bedroom plus dens, and nearly all of the studios are rented.

Scott Residences, a new boutique building in Old Town, is 100% leased after moving in its first occupants just last October.
