Old Town, River North, Streeterville and Gold Coast apartment deals and finds, 6/25/15

Four furnished models are available at the new State & Chestnut tower, which recently welcomed its first occupants. Some tiers are fully leased, but early birds can still lock up some of the building’s best and best-priced apartments. Rent and availability info is online.

Book an appointment online for any of Planned Property’s dozens of River North, Gold Coast, Lincoln Park or Lakeview buildings and receive a credit toward your first month’s rent: $100 for a studio, $200 for a 1-bedroom and $300 for a 2- or 3-bedroom.

McClurg Court has unusually large corner 1-bedrooms available, renting from $1,897 a month.

New City, the new luxury tower at 1457 N Halsted St, recently opened an on-site leasing trailer and is signing leases for mid-July and later occupancy.

Hubbard Place, a newer River North high-rise with fabulous amenities, is fully occupied. A limited number of studios will be available in early August, and one-bedrooms in early August and September.

west77, a full-amenity boutique apartment tower at 77 W Huron in River North, has only a single apartment available for immediate occupancy. Unit 403 is a one-bedroom with a balcony. The application fee for the unit is reduced to $7 and the admin fee to $77 and you can opt for 6 months free parking or a half-month’s free rent.

Additional one-bedrooms are available for late-July occupancy.

Kingsbury Plaza in River North has several studios available. Rents range from the $1,700s to high $1,800s for 12-month leases.

Chestnut Place, 850 N State, has “E” plan corner 1-bedrooms with two angled bays in the living / dining area available for mid-July occupancy. One of the units is on the top floor of the building. Rents range from $1,750 to $1,845 a month.


Although it’s only half a dozen years old, Atwater has just completed a makeover of its lobby, which now includes a business center with a conference room, a coffee bar and a new inner lobby gathering area with a gas fireplace.

Atwater has also renovated its amenities level, which has an outdoor pool deck with gas grills, a fitness center and a rambling resident lounge with a media area, a bar and catering kitchen, a billiards table and multiple spaces to relax and socialize.

Chestnut Tower, a boutique rental community at 121 W Chestnut, has a special offer: rent a currently vacant apartment by June 28 and receive a month’s free rent.

Studios and convertibles have rented quickly at many of the new downtown apartment buildings. The new Lofts at River East, Streeterville’s only rental loft building, has been leasing up at a sizzling pace. All of the 3-bedrooms, 2-bedroom plus dens, and nearly all of the studios are rented.

Scott Residences, a new boutique building in Old Town, is 100% leased after moving in its first occupants just last October.
