Old Town’s Scott Residences more than 50% leased

It’s been just over two months since The Scott Residences began offering hardhat tours for prospective renters, just over a month since first offerings. Finish detailing is still underway at some of the apartments, but the building is already more than 50% leased.

Scott Residences is an unusual offering in the hyper-active market for new apartments in downtown Chicago: a boutique-sized building with a strong package of amenities and services.

I stopped by yesterday for a look at the nearly-complete amenities. There’s a “villa room” adjacent to the lobby, which will have 24/7 door staff.

The top floor hosts a large resident lounge, a fitness room, and south- and north-facing roof decks.

The resident lounge has several seating areas, a fireplace and a full kitchen. It opens to the south-facing sun deck.

The fitness room has both strength training and cardio equipment and opens to a north-facing deck.

The 71 apartments at Scott Residences, 211 W Scott in Old Town, range from convertibles to 3-bedrooms.

Ground-level retail in the building includes a Starbucks and Massage Envy.

Plum Market is directly across the street from The Scott Residences.

The pet-friendly, smoke-free building will have a first-floor dog run, a limited number of resident storage lockers, and a resident-only parking garage with complimentary bike racks.

Floor plans, rent amounts and details on unit finishes and common area amenities can be found at The Scott Residences’ website.
