Open house – new light-filled home in West Bucktown

by Joe Zekas on 2/13/11

We’ve long been skeptical of the West Bucktown moniker, but ongoing redevelopment lends some legitimacy to real estate brokers and the West Bucktown Neighborhood Association’s renaming of the area bounded by North Ave (1600 N), Armitage Ave (2000 N), Western Ave (2400 W) and California Ave (2800 W).

Ultimate Homes has been building new construction homes in the neighborhood that have sold rapidly, despite the severe downturn in the housing market.

The key seems to be that the homes deliver on every possible item on a buyer’s wish list, at a highly-competitive price.

The video takes you on a walk through 2628 W Homer St, which was listed for sale the day we visited and is hosting its first open house today, from 11 to 1.

The home has 4 or 5 bedrooms, 3 ½ baths, almost every feature you can imagine, and is priced at $799,900.

Melissa Govedarica of Sergio & Banks is our tour guide in this sponsored video.
