Bob Russell/Rosenthal has lifted his fair share of news from YoChicago over the years, so I don’t feel too bad about stealing one story from him in return. (Here’s the difference — I’ll actually own up to it.)
If it weren’t for Bob, I wouldn’t know that Optima has cut prices on 20 of its Old Orchard Woods condos in Skokie by 20 percent through September 20. Optima’s site doesn’t specify which units are discounted, but its ad lists starting prices in the $190s for one-bedrooms, the $270s for two-bedrooms, and the $410s for three-bedrooms.
Penthouses and combination units are also available, according to the ad, although it doesn’t say whether these units are among the ones that are on sale.
Optima’s condos, located at 9645 Woods Dr, offer views of the city or the surrounding forest preserve through their floor-to-ceiling windows. Kitchens feature stainless-steel appliances, gas ranges, granite countertops, and designer cabinets. Window treatments and washers and dryers are included, and optional gas fireplaces are available.
Each of Optima’s three towers features common amenities like a two-story fitness center with a pool and spa, and a two-story party room with catering kitchen. The development has green-roof systems, sky gardens, a reflecting pool and courtyard fountain, and an exterior color scheme that is in harmony with the building’s natural surroundings.
