Peddling pedways and penthouses

200 North Dearborn

We received word from American Invsco that 200 North Dearborn, the 47-floor high-rise conversion at the corner of Dearborn and Lake streets, is approaching the halfway point in sales.

More than 150 of the building’s 309 condos have been sold, according to developers, which means that about 70 have sold since buyers snapped up 80 units in one night last July.

American Invsco is also touting 200 North Dearborn’s proximity to Chicago’s oft-overlooked pedway system, that subterranean network that enables residents to go from home to work without ever stepping outdoors. Joe and Val Zekas took a walk through the pedway last year and came back with video.

Prices at 200 North Dearborn range from the $230s for studios to the $560s for a 1,205 square-foot penthouse. Smaller one-bedroom penthouses are available too, including a pint-sized 590 square-foot penthouse listed in the $290s.
