@properties slashing prices at rebranded 770 Lofts in Greektown

770 Lofts, 770 W Gladys Ave, Chicago

Today Crain’s dished on @properties’ aggressive new sales campaign at 770 Lofts, the adapted-use development at 770 W Gladys Ave in Greektown once promoted as the Odyssey Lofts. (You know the building, Kennedy commuters — “If you lived here, you’d be Homer by now.”)

@properties and MCZ Development, the company that bought the building this summer, have cut prices by as much as 30 percent, and one-bedrooms now start in the $170s. That’s significantly lower than the surrounding competition, as both Crain’s and Curbed note.

770 Lofts floor planThe floor plan at right is the only one of four two-bedroom styles to feature anything resembling a split floor plan. It has 1,227 square feet (the most of any two-bedroom in the building), an en suite master bath and second bath closer to the entrance and second bedroom, two balconies, an island kitchen, one master walk-in, wall closets in the second bedroom and near the entrance, and a computer nook near the kitchen and living / dining room. @properties has listed two units of this kind at $273,900 and $288,900.

Assessments are $312 at both units and cover water, gas, common insurance, exercise facilities, lawn care, scavenger, and snow removal.
