Quote of the day – it’s not a museum

by Joe Zekas on 11/29/09

From a recent Tribune article:

No, it’s not a museum, at least not in the sense of a brick-and-mortar edifice housing exhibits. But few museums could be more captivating. And the astonishment of the tourists is appropriate, for Pullman looks like it was snatched from the Victorian Age and plunked down whole in this corner of 21st-Century Chicago’s South Side.

Does the Tribune article ring true with anyone who’s spent much time in Pullman?

You’ll find YoChicago video of Pullman at this YouTube playlist.

I always tell people who want to see something unique to visit Pullman. It shows you can find a gem when you go off the beaten path. Too bad the visitior center/museum is in a concrete box builing, but inside are a lot of artifacts and information.
