Quote of the day: A wish for 2010

I think we’re all waiting to see what the new year will bring. When I look at last year, the real bugger for me is the gap between the reality of what the people were offering and what sellers were willing to take. I think buyers have this idea that every seller is on the verge of bankruptcy and that they’re going to give their place away, and that really created a lot of wasted energy. If every offer I had came together last year, I’d probably be at $200 million in sales — I’d blow the market out of the water. But so many ended up being a waste of time. So my wish for this year is that we see less of that.
