Quote of the day: "I don't want this job."

From the Tribune:

“I had no clue what I was getting into. I pay the utilities, take care of the lawn, electrician work and extermination. I don’t want this job. I’m not a landlord. Those aren’t my tenants.”

– Traci Hargrove, a condo owner in Rogers Park who must cover her three-flat’s heat, water and maintenance bills, to avoid losing service altogether. The unit below her is a foreclosure, and the owner of the one above has stopped paying assessments.

Rogers Park’s 410 foreclosures in 2009 were double the city’s average, and the neighborhood saw 209 more in the first four months of 2010, the Tribune reports.
