Riding the Red Line: Jackson

I started the second leg of my tour up the Red Line with a look at the Jackson station, which stretches underneath State Street from Van Buren to Adams. The station — the first Loop station northbound travelers will reach — is one of the line’s busiest, due to the fact that riders can transfer to and from the Blue Line through an underground tunnel to the Jackson / Dearborn station, or the elevated lines looping the Loop via the adjacent Library – State / Van Buren station.
