Forget the buses. Can we just bring back the street rail with semi-dedicated lanes?

Looks like the mayor has been spending time in Paris. They implemented this system in 2002-2003 with landscaped medians/medians between car traffic and the bus lanes. It works beautifully. Taxis get to use these lanes as well.

It’s all about the Olympics, folks. Without decent public trans. we will not be in the running. Don’t know if this will be enough to sway the IOC folks…I think they are more concerned with finding excuses to say NO to Rio than reasons to say YES to Chicago.
