River City gets its closeup in Chicago International Film Festival premiere

River CityIt’s always a treat to see our fair city on the silver screen. The Will Ferrell/Dustin Hoffman flick Stranger Than Fiction, which was shot in Chicago and premiered in grand fashion last night at the opening night of the Chicago International Film Festival, prominently features Bertrand Goldberg‘s River City, where American Invsco still has condos priced from the $450s to the $880s. In the movie, Ferrell’s character moves in with a quirky co-worker who has aptly fashioned his condo in the futuristic River City development into a sort of sci-fi space station. There are also some great, sweeping exterior shots of the stunning, serpentine building. Fiction opens wide November 10th, and the Chicago International Film Festival runs through October 19th.
