This is the first in a series of posts identifying the best apartment towers in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. The photo above lists all of the buildings and shows their location relative to each other.
Renters simply have too many differing priorities – and budget constraints – to make singling out an overall best building anything but a pointless exercise. We’ll focus our series on identifying the buildings that rank highest on these criteria:

Starting with the first item on our list, views, we rank two buildings in a virtual tie: Kingsbury Plaza and Hubbard Place. The buildings earn that spot due to a combination of great height, window space, private balconies and a location at the west edge of River North that affords sweeping vistas of the cityscape.
