Rogers Park condo development eager to prove its urban address

Click for larger image Ask most Chicagoans to name the northern boundary of the city and they’ll tell you Howard Street. Of course, they’d be wrong – a little patch of the city near the lake extends an extra three blocks north, to Calvary Cemetery. The new-construction condo development at 1528 W Jonquil Ter is located in this almost-north-of-the-city patch of Rogers Park but you can tell by its architecture it considers itself distinctly urban. I’m actually a fan of the Lego-esque balconies stuck on front, though the development doesn’t make any real effort to blend into the surrounding streetscape. The six condos, with two to four bedrooms and two bathrooms each, are priced from the $340s.
