Rogers Park four-plus-ones: the epitome of ‘urban chic’

Reside 707, 707 W Sheridan Rd, Chicago

“4 + 1 apartments were hip in the ’60s and ’70s, and now they are hip again today.”

– Lori Postma, Reside Living‘s director of marketing, in a new press release about Reside’s newly renovated four-plus-ones on the North Side. Because nothing says “cool, urban chic” (their words, not mine) quite like a home next to the Morse Red Line station.

In all fairness, the real focus of Reside’s press release is Reside 707, a newly renovated building at the more appealing address of 707 W Sheridan Rd in Lakeview East, where studios with 357 to 471 square feet start at $850, one-bedroom / one-baths with 614 to 695 square feet start at $1,195, and “deluxe” two-bedroom / two-baths with 935 to 1,100 square feet start at $1,550.

Improvements to the building include “some solar powered heating,” a new fitness center and upgraded indoor pool, a new lobby with coffee bar and lounge, a “high-tech” laundry center, virtual concierge, and keyless touch-panel entry. Its units feature Energy Star appliances, maple cabinets, stainless steel sinks, porcelain tile bath floors, track lighting, and wire shelving systems. Tenants can pick “hip paint colors” for their unit and are encouraged to hit up resident events like “summer parties, holiday events, and art gallery openings.”
