Sam Zell’s advice to developer wannabes

Legendary Chicago entrepreneur and real estate investor Sam Zell recently spoke at an NYU symposium on real estate investment trusts.

According to The Real Deal, a student seeking advice for real estate newbies was told to “go to medical school.” When asked how he was preparing for the end of the Federal Reserve’s policy of quantitative easing, he responded: “I’m getting under my bed. I suggest you do the same.”
