Say goodbye to Randolph Place’s river views

by Joe Zekas on 1/18/12

According to a recent Sun-Times report, developer John O’Donnell plans to build a 40- to 50-story office tower on a West Loop site he recently acquired at 400 W Randolph St.

The more than 100 east-facing condos at Randolph Place, 165 N Canal St, that currently enjoy great views along the Chicago River can envision their future views by looking south to River Center, their immediate neighbor. Or not, if they’re squeamish.

Anyone who’s paying a premium for view property should always consider the potential impact of future developments.
