Scott Residences in Old Town prepping for October occupancy

The Scott Residences in Old Town has begun offering hardhat tours of the new apartments at 211 W Scott St. I joined in briefly on one of the tours in the early evening yesterday.

Interior finishes at some of the apartments are nearing completion, and first occupancies are slated for early October. The one-bedroom in these images has an oversized bath with a large vanity, a nook in the living area with a built-in desk, ample kitchen cabinetry, a large island, granite countertops and a black appliance package.

The expansive roof over the 72-car garage will be a green roof, with private terraces for some of the apartments on the third floor of the building.

Scott Residences is a boutique building, with only 71 apartments. Confirmed commercial tenants for the ground-floor retail space include Massage Envy and Starbucks.

Convertible apartments rent from $1,963, one-bedrooms from $2,240, two-bedroom, two-baths from $4,084 and three-bedrooms, with either 2 or 2 ½ baths, from $5,580.

Floor plans, rent amounts and details on unit finishes and common area amenities can be found at The Scott Residences’ website.

Walk Wells Street north of the building, beginning with the 1200 block, pictured above, and you’ll immediately grasp the appeal of the location. Wells Street is one of the more interesting and pedestrian-friendly venues in Chicago.

Tours are available by appointment from 3 to 6 pm on Tuesdays and Fridays. A temporary leasing center is open on Wells Street, immediately adjacent to the building.
