Short sales and empty lots on Damen Avenue

The short-sale bug has touched even Ravenswood, but so far the neighborhood seems to have a mild case. In this segment from my tour with Rubloff Realtor Eric Rojas, we take in the scene near the intersection of Lawrence and Damen avenues, a spot that has seen several new-construction projects in the past few years. It’s the site of a recent short sale, Rojas says: A two-bedroom / two-bath with garage parking sold for $325,000. Nearby is another sign of the times: an empty lot, site of a stalled 14-unit condo project.
