We followed up our photo checkup of 1233 North Wells with a video checkup, so we might as well follow our SoNo photo with a video, too. Last Friday, Joe and I drove stopped near the corner of Dayton and Blackhawk streets on the Near North Side, where crews are already hard at work building a rental companion for the original SoNo condo tower.
SoNo East is just one of at least 14 new rental developments that have been proposed, are seeking financing, or are already under construction in the downtown area. If built, those 14 projects would introduce almost 4,700 new units to the market. You can see a list of those buildings with their latest known status at Google Docs.
