South Loop construction update, 1345 Wabash

by sponsored post on 5/20/14

The pilings that will support the new 15-story condo building at 1345 Wabash are in the ground and the pile-driving crane is being disassembled and readied for removal from the site. The Komatsu excavator toward the right of the photo is working on the base of the tower crane, which is slated to begin rising within a few days.

1345 Wabash is conveniently close to the CTA stops at Roosevelt Road, supermarkets (Trader Joe’s, Jewel and Mariano’s), a surprisingly dense cluster of bars and restaurants, and Grant Park.

The development team includes CMK and the architecture firm of Brininstool + Lynch.

Pre-completion prices start at $222,900 for 1-bedrooms and $289,900 for 2-bedrooms. A sales center is open at 1620 S Michigan.
