Sales at eco18, the green condo building planned in the South Loop at 1818 S Wabash Ave, appear to have gotten off to a strong start. Last night Howard Adelstein of Dynaprop Development Corp, which is developing the 12-story tower, called to tell me that they took 28 reservations in the first weekend of sales.

As we mentioned, the developers held an opening party last Thursday at the sales center, 1830 N Wabash Ave. The 93-unit building will have 9,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.

Dynaprop president Rick Turner has said eco18 is the first large-scale condo project in the city to seek LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a national rating system that measures sustainability in building.
