Suburban showcase: Ranches and recreation at Mill Creek

In their drive through Mill Creek, Joe Zekas and Sho-Deen Residential president Mark Thomas drive past a ranch home, known as The Abbey, still under construction. Mark says it was introduced for “empty-nesters” looking for single-floor living (read more about Mill Creek home styles).

Forty-five percent of this 1,600 acre development is dedicated to open space with multiple “pocket parks,” connected by 17 miles of walking paths. Doubling earlier plans, the development now has two 18-hole championship golf courses.
