Earlier today I was in a meeting at 150 N Michigan and spent some time admiring the views from a west-facing office.
The windows offered a clear look at the elaborate terra cotta ornamentation atop the landmark Jewelers’ Building, 35 E Wacker Dr, and top-to-bottom views of the Trump Tower and IBM Building. But not for long.
Six to eight months from now the office will have a close-up look into the Summit on Lake, a 332-unit apartment tower that’s underway at 73 E Lake St in the Loop.
Looking down from the office I could see that the base of the tower crane is in place at Summit on Lake, setting the stage for the building’s imminent rise to its eventual 42-story height.
