Despite its undeniable audacity and importance, I have trouble working up much interest in the plans to revitalize the South Works site. The City Council has approved McCaffery Interests‘ plan for a whole lot o’ condos, apartments, and retail spaces at the old US Steel South Works site in South Chicago. Don’t hold your breath, though — McCaffery talks about this development in terms of decades, not years.
