Target
I don’t think I’ve ever heard a discussion about Chicago’s iron workers in which the word “crazy” didn’t surface. If you talk to iron workers, however, some will contend that people are crazy to think that way about the risks they routinely undertake. This t-shirt captures their sentiment. I stopped by yesterday for an updated ...

The Roscoe View Journal reported yesterday that Target may be purchasing the site that was once targeted for the Lakeview Collection, a 6-story mixed-use development of loft condos and retail. We’ve written often about the Lakeview Collection since it was announced half a dozen years ago, but it dropped off our radar after our retrospective ...

Two major retail developments that are likely to have a positive impact on the West Loop are well underway. Target broke ground at Jackson and Aberdeen last September, at which time it was slated for completion in July of this year. Mariano’s Fresh Market on Halsted, pictured above, will be opening in what one observer ...

I stopped by the corner of Aberdeen and Van Buren in the West Loop yesterday for a look at the state of the new Target store that’s scheduled to open in July of 2012. Site activity was at a standstill at lunch break, but it’s clearly progressing. Real estate developers have been touting the new ...

There’s been talk of a new Target replacing the recently demolished Cabrini-Green high-rise at 1230 N Burling St. CHA confirms that it’s in talks with the retailer, and the Sun-Times has published some details about the store’s size and location, but Target itself hasn’t said much about the plan. You can catch up on what’s ...
